The "workshop of the Moor" is in fact the only preserved fragment of a typical palace of the Toledo nobility of the 14th century, which very possibly extended to the palace of Fuensalida. In the fifteenth century, converted into a convent, it housed the nuns of Santa, being used in the next century by the Cabildo. This is when the Moro Workshop nomination arises, due to its use as a quarry and its Arab appearance. After the abandonment of this function is used for various and curious purposes, such as: Ballroom, Warehouse, factory, etc. The State decides to acquire it in 1959 and places in it a museum of the Mudejar Toledo, function that it still maintains. The current provision is the result of the reforms made between the date of its public takeover a few years ago, in which the last works of importance were undertaken.
He currently exhibits examples of Andalusian sumptuary arts from Toledo.
